At Priceless WaterCare, we are concerned about environmental issues affecting our water supplies. One area of concern is the widespread use of BPA (Bisphenol A) in virtually all aspects of modern life.
BPA is found in nearly all common household products. It is used in baby bottles, water bottles, medical and dental devices, lenses, food storage containers, household electronics, compact discs and DVDs. Epoxy resins containing BPA are used to coat the inside of food and beverage cans, as well as metal water bottles not made from stainless steel.
Because of these concerns, we whole-heartedly recommend the stainless steel bottle line from Klean Kanteen, which introduced the first Klean Kanteen in 2004. Made from toxin-free materials, with large-mouth openings and rounded corners and threads, they're easy to use and easy to clean.
The bottles are made of high quality, 18/8 food-grade stainless steel and the caps are BPA and toxin-free polypropylene (pp#5).
They're easy to clean because they are intentionally designed with rounded corners. The bottles don't have any sharp edges or hard angles where dirt or bacteria can hide. The large, rounded threads are easy to scrub out so dirt, bacteria and germs don't get stuck in the threads of either the bottles or the caps. In addition, no inner liners mean that the bottles don't retain flavors or make drinks taste funky!
